M&S Scarborough
marks & spencer
THE PROJECT:
APA Height Access Ltd were contracted by M&S to design & install a parapet supporting façade retaining access solution to enable their historic building in the middle of the busy pedestrianised town centre of Scarborough to receive full refurbishment & restoration works by our sister company APA Building Solutions Ltd. The project consisted of full façade access, hoarding and enviro-wrapping along with a roof-beamed designed façade retention solution.

THE solution:
APA Height Access designed and installed scaffold structures for safe access, featuring specialist hoardings with M&S branding at pavement level including Percy Pig enviro-wrapped façade livery, whilst maintaining safe access for the public on a busy shopping precinct. APA Height Access then provided a high-level retention solution to hold the parapet in place to enable other works to take place.

THE outcome:
The Marks & Spencer access and retention scaffold project achieved:
- Safe and efficient access for construction personnel to undertake the work.
- Provided a workable solution to minimise hazards and maintain a clean working environment.
- Compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring on-site personnel’s safety.
- Customised scaffold solutions tailored to project requirements, giving optimised efficiency.
In conclusion, the project was completed on time and within budget, reflecting APA’s commitment to excellence and showcasing their ability to deliver exceptional results. This achievement serves as a benchmark for future projects, reaffirming their leadership in scaffold construction and installation.
